NHS England and local government publish an extraordinary volume of financial, performance, and operational data. It is scattered across dozens of sources, updated on incompatible cycles, and never assembled into a single analytical view. Parallax does that work: systematically, at scale, with the structural factors held constant.

The problem is not data availability. Every ICB, every council, every major supplier publishes data. The problem is that pulling it together, normalising it, benchmarking it against structural peers, and asking whether the residual is controllable requires weeks of analyst time — and the result is usually a one-off spreadsheet that cannot be reproduced or updated.
