Parallax · NHS analytics
Twelve analytics. One platform doing the synthesis the NHS never built.
NHS England publishes an extraordinary volume of performance, prescribing, workforce, and outcome data. It is scattered across dozens of sources, updated on incompatible cycles, and never joined. Parallax NHS assembles it, holds context constant, and surfaces the signal.
The data exists. The synthesis does not.
Every ICB, every trust, every PCN publishes data. Activity volumes, referral rates, diagnostic waits, prescribing patterns, workforce headcount, financial positions. The information needed to understand how a system is performing is public. The work of joining it, normalising it, stripping out structural variation, and asking whether the residual is controllable — that work does not happen at scale anywhere.
Parallax NHS does that work systematically across the twelve analytical domains that matter most to system leaders and those advising them.
What the platform covers
The platform spans twelve analytical domains assembled from public NHS data sources. Each domain follows the same engine: structural factors held constant, residual surfaced, signal separated from noise.
Domains currently covered include activity and referral patterns, diagnostic pathway performance, prescribing analysis, workforce and capacity, financial benchmarking, and outcome variation by geography. The prescribing intelligence module is in active development; the framework is built and the data assembly is underway.
The same engine. A different dataset.
Parallax NHS runs the same expected-versus-actual methodology as Parallax Local Government Finance. The structural variables differ — deprivation, age profile, rurality, list size — but the logic is identical. What circumstance explains is separated from what system decisions can move. What the data cannot resolve is named as a boundary finding rather than suppressed or reported as spurious signal.
Three entry points
System leaders and ICB analysts
Understand your system's position against structural peers. Separate the performance questions you can act on from the structural pressures you cannot.
Consultants and advisory firms
Arrive at system-level conversations with the evidence already assembled. The platform replaces weeks of data collection and normalisation.
Suppliers and service providers
Identify where the system is under structural pressure and where the controllable residual suggests a legitimate opportunity.
The platform is in active development. Early access briefings are available for system leaders and advisory firms working in this space.
